A lot of our campers are here for work. State Line Campground is a family-owned RV park in Blacksville, West Virginia, right on the WV/PA border, and it is a practical monthly base for gas and oil crews, traveling nurses on contract at the Morgantown hospitals, and other trades — many of whom bring their families. Every site has full hookups, the WiFi and laundry are free, and we are open all year, which matters when your assignment runs into the winter.
Here for a job or a contract? Call Dana and Rod at 304-376-5970 and we will arrange monthly rates — and set up several sites together if you are traveling as a crew.
Built for working stays
- Monthly and long-term rates with discounts for longer stays, so the numbers work for a multi-week assignment or a 13-week contract.
- Full 30 and 50 amp hookups on back-in sites that fit rigs up to 43 feet, plus water, sewer, and waste disposal.
- Free WiFi to stay connected, handle paperwork, and reach home after a shift.
- Free laundry with good washers and dryers, and free firewood delivered to your site.
- Open 365 days a year, including winter, unlike most seasonal campgrounds.
- Quiet grounds for rest between shifts, with owners who live five minutes away if you need anything.
- Pet friendly, with a dog walking service while you are on the job.
Traveling nurses and healthcare workers
State Line is an easy contract-length base for traveling nurses and healthcare travelers working the Morgantown hospitals — including WVU Medicine's J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital and Mon Health Medical Center (Mon General) — roughly 25 minutes away, as well as Fairmont. Monthly rates line up with a standard 13-week assignment, the WiFi and laundry are free, and the grounds stay quiet so you can rest between day and night shifts. Bring the RV, park it once, and skip the short-term-lease hassle.
Room for the family
Plenty of our long-term guests bring their families, so we are not just a parking lot. Gas, groceries, and restaurants are less than two miles away, and there is real day-to-day life close by: Mason-Dixon Park, a swimming pool, fishing ponds, local restaurants, and a public library with children's story hours and games and toys to borrow, all a short drive from your site. Kids and partners have somewhere to go while you are on the clock. There is also a Huntington Bank with a drive-thru ATM close by, which helps on long shifts when you need to grab cash or deposit a paycheck without going out of your way.
Close to the work
Blacksville sits in the middle of the northern West Virginia and southwestern Pennsylvania gas country, close to the Marcellus and Utica shale fields. Our long-term guests work pipeline and gas jobs across the region, the Fort Martin Power Station near Morgantown, and other trades. From here you are about 25 minutes from Morgantown, WV, a similar drive from Fairmont and Mannington, WV, and about 25 minutes from Waynesburg, PA and Greene County.
Rates and getting set up
We keep it simple: no online booking system and no forms. Call 304-376-5970 for current daily, weekly, and monthly rates and to check availability. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Venmo. If you are booking for a crew, tell us how many rigs and roughly how long, and we will get everyone set up near each other.
