Some of our guests pull in for a weekend. Plenty of others stay for a month, a season, or longer — because State Line Campground is set up for living in your RV, not just camping in it. We are a small, family-owned park at 186 Cliff Rd in Blacksville, right on the WV/PA line, open every day of the year, with full hookups, free laundry, and free firewood. Owners Dana and Rod live five minutes away, so there is always someone around.
Looking for a monthly or long-term site? Call Dana and Rod at 304-376-5970 and we will line up a good site and work out a monthly rate.
Who lives here long term
This is a practical year-round home base in north-central West Virginia — not a warm-weather snowbird escape, but the place you park when you need a real spot to live by the month. Our long-term guests include:
- Full-time RVers settling in for a season or passing through and staying a while.
- People between homes — selling, building, relocating, or waiting on a closing — who need somewhere simple while they sort out the next step.
- Remote workers who want quiet, reliable hookups, and free WiFi.
- People on long assignments — gas and energy crews, traveling nurses at the Morgantown hospitals, and other trades, often with family along.
- Anyone who wants a low-overhead place to stay with one predictable monthly bill.
What's included when you stay by the month
- One monthly rate covers the utilities. Your site plus electricity, water, sewer, and WiFi — no stack of separate utility bills to set up and pay.
- Full 30 and 50 amp hookups on back-in sites that fit rigs up to 43 feet, with water, sewer, and waste disposal.
- Free laundry with good washers and dryers (no quarters) and free firewood delivered to your site.
- Clean bathhouse with hot showers, plus fire pits, drinking water, and picnic tables on request.
- Pet friendly, with a dog-walking service while you are at work or out for the day.
- Quiet, well-kept grounds with the owners five minutes away if you need anything.
A predictable monthly cost
Long-term living should be simple to budget. At State Line the nightly cost drops the longer you stay, and one monthly rate rolls your site and your utilities together, so you are not juggling separate electric, water, and internet bills or chasing deposits. There are no hidden fees. We keep it old-fashioned: no online booking system and no forms — call 304-376-5970 for current monthly rates and availability. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Venmo.
Living here through all four seasons
Because we never close, you can set up and stay put as the seasons turn. Summers are quiet and green; spring and fall are easy. If you are living here through the cold months, our guide to winter RV camping in West Virginia walks through keeping your water, tanks, and rig comfortable below freezing, and our year-round & winter camping page covers how we stay open when most campgrounds in the area shut down. Call ahead before a deep-winter stretch and we will put you on a site that handles cold weather well.
Everyday life close by
Living somewhere means more than a place to park. Gas, groceries, and restaurants are less than two miles away, and there is a Huntington Bank with a drive-thru ATM close by. A public library is about three minutes away, with children's story hours and games and toys to borrow, and Mason-Dixon Park, fishing ponds, a swimming pool, and local restaurants are all a short drive. Morgantown, WV and Waynesburg, PA are each about 25 minutes out when you need a bigger town.
